Privacy Policy

What we ask you for when you book a job or ask for a quote, where it is kept, and who can see it.

Drafted 18 September 2026. No approved version exists yet.

Draft. Not checked by a solicitor.

This page was written by the team building this website, by going through what the software actually does with your details. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor and it is not a finished policy. Nobody should rely on it, and it should not be published as final, until it has been reviewed and the blanks in it have been filled in.

Anything marked Still to be confirmed is a genuine gap. It was left empty on purpose rather than guessed at.

Who this is about

George Group Services covers George Electrical and George Cleaning, and is shown on this website alongside George Fire and George Renewables. This page covers the details you give us through this website.

Still to be confirmed by George Group Services

The registered company name, company number, registered office address and VAT number have not been supplied for this page yet.

Neither has an ICO registration number. A UK business that handles personal details like these normally needs to be registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, and the registration number usually goes on a page like this one.

There is also no email address or postal address here for privacy requests, because no address has been chosen for them.

What we ask you for

Both booking forms on this website, the cleaning booking and the electrical quote, ask for the same contact and property details:

  • your name
  • a business or organisation name, if you give one, which is optional
  • your phone number, which we store in the full international form, for example +447700900123
  • your email address
  • the address of the property, including the town and a UK postcode
  • whether the property is your own or someone else's, and when it is someone else's, the name and phone number of the person who will be there to let us in

Booking a clean also records:

  • which cleaning service you chose
  • the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas, and how the property is looking at the moment
  • any extras you picked, how often you want a visit, and the date and time of day you asked for
  • the quote worked out from those answers
  • any key and access notes you write, for example where a key safe is, its code, or whether there are pets. These are stored against the property so the team going out can read them.

Asking for an electrical quote also records:

  • your answers to the three questions about the work, and the automated decision they produced
  • the estimated range, where the answers were clear enough for the system to give one
  • the three photographs you take of the consumer unit, the main fuse or meter, and the cable route

The photographs you upload

Photographs are kept in a private file store. They are not published anywhere on this website and there is no public link to them.

  • Once a photograph is uploaded you cannot read it back through this website. Office accounts can open it, through a link that stops working after ten minutes.
  • We accept JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF files, up to 10 MB each.
  • A photograph is stored exactly as your phone took it. If your camera saved location information inside the image file, that is stored with it. Removing that automatically is work we have not done yet.
  • If you upload photographs and then do not finish the form, the photographs you already uploaded stay in the file store.

What this website does not do

These are things a website like this often does, which this one genuinely does not, as of the date at the top of this page:

  • It does not ask for card or bank details, and it takes no payment or deposit. There is no payment step anywhere in either booking form.
  • It does not send marketing email, and there is no newsletter or mailing list. It does not send any automatic email at all yet, not even a booking confirmation.
  • It has no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third party tracking scripts, so nothing here follows you around other websites.
  • We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone else for their own marketing.
  • It does not create a customer account or a login for you.
  • Our accounting software is not connected to this system, so nothing you enter here reaches it automatically today.

Where your details are kept

The database and the file store behind this website are run by Supabase, on servers in Ireland, inside the EU and UK data region. Your details are not copied anywhere else by this system.

Still to be confirmed by George Group Services

Where this website itself is hosted has not been decided yet, so this page cannot honestly name the hosting company or the country it serves the site from. That needs adding once the site is deployed.

A full list of the outside companies involved in running this service, and the agreements with them, still needs writing with whoever reviews this page.

Who can see your details

  • Office accounts, the owner and admin staff, can see the whole record of your enquiry.
  • An engineer or a cleaner sees the customer, the address, the access notes and the site contact only for the jobs they have been given, and nothing beyond that.
  • That split is enforced by the database itself, not only hidden in the screens, so an account that should not see something cannot reach it another way.

Staff sign in with an email address and a password, which puts a session cookie in their browser to keep them signed in. There is no customer login.

Cookies

This website has no analytics or advertising cookies, because it has no analytics or advertising. The only cookie this system sets is the staff sign in session described above, which a customer never gets.

Still to be confirmed by George Group Services

Whoever reviews this page should confirm the final cookie wording, and whether anything the finished hosting setup adds needs listing here too.

How long we keep your details

Still to be confirmed: how long anything is kept

No retention periods have been agreed, so none are stated here. This needs a decision on how long a booking request from someone who never became a customer is kept, how long photographs are kept, and how long the record of a completed job is kept.

Said plainly in the meantime: nothing in this system deletes anything automatically. A booking request, the customer and address records it creates, and any photographs, all stay until somebody removes them by hand.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal details. They include asking for a copy of what we hold, asking us to correct something wrong, asking us to delete it, and complaining to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how we have handled it.

Still to be confirmed: how to actually ask

There is no email address or postal address on this page yet for making one of those requests, no named person who handles them, and no stated time limit for replying.

The wording for the legal grounds we rely on to handle your details, and for how long we are allowed to keep them, needs to come from whoever reviews this page rather than from us.

Changes to this page

This is the first draft and no version of it has been approved. Once it has been reviewed and the blanks above are filled in, the date at the top will say when.

The other two pages drafted at the same time are our Terms of Service and our Cancellation Policy.
